The Importance of Packaging Barrier Quality Testing on QC of Milk Powder

Abstract: Pollution prevention and safety are the most basic requirements for food packaging. Dairy products are rich in nutrition and are the ideal culture medium for microorganisms, which is easy to be polluted and deteriorated. Suitable processing methods combined with effective packaging can prevent microbial contamination and ensure the health and safety of products. The test principle is as follows: the prepared sample is placed between the upper and lower test chambers and clamp firmly. First, vacuum the low pressure chamber (lower chamber), then vacuum the whole system when the specified vacuum is reached. Then, close the lower test chamber, fill the test gas of certain pressure into the high pressure chamber (upper chamber), and ensure that on both sides of the sample form a constant pressure difference (adjustable). The test principle is: to place water or desiccant in the pre-treated test cup, and then clamp the pre-treated sample on the test cup. The test cup is placed in the test cabinet. The test cabinet generates a stable temperature, humidity and airflow purging environment according to the set test conditions. Water vapor enters the dry side through the sample, and determines the change of the overall weight of the test cup over time.
